Ocean Sky to Provide MedAire Medical, Security Services to Owners, Charter Clients
Aircraft owners and charter customers to reap benefits from MedAire’s medical, security solution


GENEVA – 18 May, 2011 Ocean Sky’s (#1251) aircraft VIP passengers and crew will have round-the-clock access to specialised medical care, security advice and assistance on a global basis—thanks to a new agreement with MedAire (#627), the world’s leading provider of integrated crew medical training, onboard medical equipment and 24/7 access to medical and security services

Effective 1 July, 2011, Ocean Sky will offer an enhanced consistent, fleet-wide MedAire safety management solution, including 24/7 access to emergency care doctors, onboard medical kits, access to regional security advice and on-the-ground assistance, and aviation medical training for all pilots and flight attendants.

MedAire’s initial and recurrent courses will ensure we’re delivering the highest standard of medical care—providing our crews the confidence, knowledge and resources to prepare for and manage unexpected medical situations.”

Ocean Sky’s crews will be taught by medical professionals with in-flight medical experience through MedAire’s Management of In-flight Illness & Injury. In addition, during unexpected situations, crew have 24/7 access to MedAire’s MedLink Global Response Center where emergency care doctors manage more than 19,000 in-flight medical cases a year. MedLink doctors remotely assess the health of the passenger or crewmember and make medical recommendations using medications and supplies from the onboard Aircraft First Aid Kit and Emergency Medical Kit. On the ground, Ocean Sky crew and VIP travelers who are at their destination will also have access to MedAire’s 24/7 medical, security and travel advice and assistance via a co-branded Ocean Sky/MedAire membership card.  Members can obtain pre-travel security risk assessments by accessing a MedAire portal or by speaking to one of the 200 dedicated security professionals. 

As Ocean Sky continues to add aircraft to its fleet, passengers and crew will automatically be covered by the MedAire medical and security safety management program.
