MedAire, Gulfstream Celebrate 20-Year Medical Partnership
Gulfstream First OEM to Supply Remote Medical Services as Standard Feature

ORLANDO, Fla. NBAA – Oct. 20, 2009 – 2009 marks the 20-year partnership of outfitting Gulfstream Aerospace clients with MedAire’s medical equipment, medical training and 24/7 access to doctors via MedAire’s hospital-based MedLink Global Response Center.

With the purchase of each Gulfstream aircraft, customers automatically receive the following suite of life-saving medical solutions from MedAire:

  • MedLink, the aviation industry’s global 24/7 telemedicine service for direct consultation and advice from board certified emergency care doctors.
  • Crew medical training from flight nurses and paramedics with aviation experience and certification by the American Heart Association or European Resuscitation Council.
  • Onboard medical supplies include a state-of-the-art FAA Part 135 First Aid Kit designed to handle the most common in-flight medical emergencies on all aircraft, and an automated external defibrillator on the G350, G450, G500 and G550.
  • Online medical and travel advisories to help crew prepare for their flights to 200+ countries.

“Gulfstream was very innovative with its focus on passenger medical safety,” explains MedAire Founder and Chairperson of the Board Joan Sullivan Garrett, of Gulfstream’s decision to add medical solutions as a standard feature 20 years ago. “While it was known that medical events occurred on board, it was quite different to put a solution in place to address the issues.”
