MedAire has been notified by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals of a voluntary product recall for Infants’ Simethicone
Drops, 30mL.
Our Pediatric Supplemental Rx Kits distributed to clients between Sept. 16, 2010 and Apr. 20, 2011 may likely contain one of the recalled products. To protect the children traveling on your vessel or plane, MedAire will ship a complimentary replacement to customers with one of the affected lot numbers:
- L107E10A – Exp. 8/12
- L045H10A – Exp. 9/12
- L046H10A – Exp. 9/12
- L028K10A – Exp. 9/12
- L029K10A – Exp. 10/12
- L107J10A – Exp. 10/12
Per our records, this recall affects a limited number of clients, and we will be contacting each company individually by e-mail and phone.
All Simethicone products have been removed from our shelves and our MedLink medical team is aware of the recall.
Important next steps and reorder information:
- Do not use the recalled Qualitest product due to a possible microbial contamination.
- Discard the product.
- Replace the infant drops upon receipt of the complimentary replacement.
