MedAire
Receives Spirit of Enterprise Award
TEMPE, Ariz. (Oct 3, 2005)
– Health and security company, MedAire, Inc. (ASX: MDE)
has been recognized by Arizona State University’s (ASU) W.P.
Carey School of Business as a winner in its 2005 Spirit of
Enterprise award program. MedAire
was one of 79 Arizona-based companies nominated for the honor
which recognizes ethics, energy and excellence in
entrepreneurship.
“We are
honored that one of the largest business schools in the
United States
would take a look at our business and give us this type of
recognition,” said MedAire founder and CEO, Joan Sullivan
Garrett.
MedAire was one
of five companies to receive award recognition during special
Spirit of Enterprise ceremonies held at the Arizona Biltmore on
September 27th.
“These
companies are committed to the highest standards, not only in
business but also in community leadership and service,"
says Mary Lou Bessette, director of the Center for the
Advancement of Small Business. "Their examples give our
students the opportunity to study entrepreneurship and learn
from people who have built their dreams into successful
businesses.”
The Spirit of
Enterprise Award was first presented in 1997.
The
W.P.
Carey
School
of Business at ASU is internationally recognized for its
leadership in supply chain management and services marketing and
highly regarded for its faculty’s research productivity.
The school is ranked 25th nationally for its
undergraduate programs and 29th for the W.P. Carey MBA.
